Coronavirus (Covid-19)

Corvid-19

OPICO Ltd, 1st June 2021

The Government hopes to remove “all legal limits on social contact” from 21 June. This means there will no longer be restrictions on how many people you can meet, either indoors or outdoors. However, some social distancing rules may remain in place, and the wearing of masks may still be mandatory in some public places.

However, until government restrictions are lifted, we all have a responsibility to keep everyone safe and help fight the spread of Covid.  At OPICO, we are continuing to do everything possible to keep the company running smoothly and supporting farmers and contractors at this busy time of the farming year.  As such, we are asking all employees to test themselves twice a week whether they are visiting the Bourne site, a dealership, a customer premises or working from home.  All visitors and contractors to the Bourne site must provide evidence of a negative rapid lateral flow test before access to the site is granted.

We recognise that it is vital that we support British farming and our parts department continues to be open (Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, out of hours by arrangement) and can ship parts 5 days/week. Please order in the normal way through your dealer, if necessary, we have social distancing measures and sanitary arrangements in place should you need to collect any item yourself.

For parts collections:

  • We ask that customers refrain from turning up for parts without notice - ordered parts can be left for collection in/out of hours
  • Parts orders are to be made via dealer online prior to arrival to reduce contact with staff members.  Customers will be advised of collection procedure at this time which includes an order ref code which is attached to the parcel.  Collection orders will be placed in a designated location outside the parts department prior to your arrival.  Please ensure you have your order ref code from your dealer to identify your parcel.
  • No one will be allowed to enter the parts department

Should you require technical support then we are assisting our dealer network as usual and, if required on farm, our service engineers are available and will observe strict hygiene and social distancing protocols. We ask our customers to assist in keeping our team safe.

If you have a cough, fever or are showing any symptoms of COVID-19 we ask that you do not visit our offices under any circumstances, or come into contact with any of our service engineers due to visit you on farm.  We will be happy to arrange for support without the need for human contact. Please contact us via telephone to make alternative arrangements.

Most importantly, we would like to wish all those who come into contact with OPICO and their families well and hope you stay safe during this ongoing challenging time.

OPICO Limited, March 18, 2020

OPICO Limited is taking the outbreak of the Coronavirus extremely seriously. Our number one priority will always be the safety and wellbeing of our staff and customers.

We are keeping ourselves well informed of the developing situation and are following the advice and recommendations from the Government, Public Health England and the World Health Organisation.

We are also doing everything possible to keep the company running smoothly and supporting farmers and contractors at this busy time of the farming year.  We are running a skeleton staff in Bourne with most of our employees working remotely.  We have suspended all external meetings and are connecting via Skype, and phone. We are in daily contact with all team members.

Whether working remotely or in the office all staff are frequently reminded to be stringent in the implementation of hygiene and cleaning regimes, including thorough, frequent handwashing.

To minimise the risk of transmission we are suspending visits by our Territory Managers and Service Engineers to dealers and customers unless they have made a prior appointment.

We ask you to assist us by not attending our site in Bourne unless by prior appointment, e.g.parts can be collected by prior appointment. If you feel you may have a cough or cold, please consider seeking advice from the NHS phoneline (111) before visiting us.

We thank you for your understanding and co-operation as we endeavour to continue to trade whilst minimising the transmission of this virus.
